Memoona Zahid

A creative and thoughtful writer and meticulous editor who developed the concept for Human Underwater, an anthology of poetry written in response to the climate crisis by womxn and non-binary poets of colour. Memoona Zahid graduated with a degree in English with Creative Writing from Goldsmiths. She has completed her MA in Poetry at UEA and currently volunteers at UPP. Her writing has been published in a range of print and online publications and she regularly reads her poetry at events. She is passionate about editing and publishing work which illuminates the multi-dimensionality of different voices.


She has experience writing copy, editing and proofreading.

In her free time she likes to become acquainted with the cats in her neighbourhood.
